Frequently Asked Questions

What is physical therapy?

Physical therapy is a hands-on approach to relieving pain and restoring function. Our physical therapists evaluate your movement patterns, identify the cause of your pain, and work to help you eliminate it.
Every patient’s condition is unique, and your physical therapist will choose from a variety of techniques, exercises, and equipment to relieve pain and restore your function to optimum levels.
The overall goal is to restore pain-free mobility, and to prevent injury or pain from recurring.

Why should I choose Body-N-Balance?

At Body-N-Balance, you will receive one-on-one care with a licensed physical therapist for the duration of your appointment.
We never treat more than one patient at a time, and we do not use techs or aides. Each patient is treated in a fully-equipped, private room.
We take a whole body approach, using a comprehensive assessment to determine imbalances that may be causing pain or discomfort. After your assessment, we will provide a specific treatment plan to meet your body's needs. Your plan of care will be tailored to your individual needs, and may incorporate Pilates, Gyrotonic®, Redcord, dry needling, cupping, manual therapy, customized home exercise programs, and more.

How do I know if physical therapy will help me?

We can discuss your symptoms and help you determine if physical therapy will be the right choice for you. Contact us today to discuss your current condition and schedule an appointment.

How do I schedule an appointment?

We offer early morning, evening, and Saturday appointments to meet the demands of your busy schedule. Call us or fill out this form to schedule.

How long will my appointment last?

Typically, each session is 60 minutes. The amount of time required will be based on your specific needs, and your physical therapist will discuss this with you during your initial evaluation.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Please have your prescription and insurance card available when you call. This will allow us to verify your insurance benefits and provide you with an estimate of coverage.
For your first visit:
- Bring a prescription (if needed) for physical therapy from your referring physician.
- Bring your insurance information and drivers license.
- Print out the patient forms, fill them out, and bring them with you.
- Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete any remaining paperwork, so you can maximize your time in your appointment.
- Please wear comfortable clothing that you can exercise in and allows easy access to your problem areas.

How many sessions will I have?

Each patient’s diagnosis is different, so your therapist will develop a plan of care that is right for you. Your plan of care and number of visits will be determined during your first visit and explained to you by your physical therapist.

Will insurance cover my treatment?

Body-N-Balance is an out-of-network insurance provider, so full payment must be made at the time of service. We will be happy to assist in contacting your insurance company and determining your coverage based on your individual policy. For more information, please do not hesitate to contact our office.

What if I don't have insurance?

For patients who do not have insurance or choose not to use it, we offer a discounted cash rate.

Do I need a doctor referral to see a physical therapist?

If you are a Medicare patient, a doctor referral is required to receive treatment. In most other cases, a doctor referral is not required for an initial evaluation. Please do not hesitate to call our office for more information.

What type of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, check, debit cards, and credit cards.

Do you offer programs for me one I'm better?

Your physical therapist will provide a comprehensive home exercise program to help maintain the benefits you received from physical therapy.
You have the option to continue on to a Pilates, Gyrotonic®, Redcord, or massage program at Body-N-Balance. Our physical therapists work with our certified fitness instructors to determine exercises that would be safe and beneficial for you.
