Sarah Diamond

Sarah Diamond has always had a passion for movement. Growing up just around the corner in Marietta, GA, Sarah danced with Rhythm Dance Center’s company and Atlanta Ballet’s pre-professional division, training in a variety of styles including ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, and hip-hop. It was through dance that Sarah was introduced to Pilates and its benefits at a young age.

Sarah earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance at Florida State University graduating Summa Cum Laude. It was during her college years that Sarah’s interest for Pilates developed, inspired by her studies under Professor Tom Welsh taking courses in Reformer, Kinesiology, Dance Science, and Body Conditioning.

Following graduation, Sarah moved to California to study with the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance where she continued to research movement and dance. At this time Sarah also received training to become a Pilates instructor through Polestar’s Pilates Comprehensive Studies in Alameda, CA.  And in April 2019, Sarah received her certification as a Polestar Pilates Studio Practitioner.

Sarah enjoys teaching Pilates so that she may share the rewarding benefits of movement with people of all physical ranges. As a dancer who sees the value of movement and understands the harsh realities of injuries, Sarah is thankful for the service that Pilates provides to help individuals gain greater awareness of their bodies, minds, and selves. Sarah also hopes that through her work as a Pilates instructor, she may help educate dancers as well as other athletes on how to best care for their bodies.

Outside of her work at Body-N-Balance, Sarah dances professionally in Atlanta with companies including ImmerseATL.
