What is GYROTONIC®?

GYROTONIC® is a unique movement method that blends principles of yoga, dance, swimming, and tai chi to create fluid, three-dimensional exercises. Using the GYROTONIC Expansion System®, our therapists guide you through spiraling, circular, and rhythmic motions designed to increase flexibility, strengthen your core, and improve joint mobility.

Each session at Body-N-Balance is tailored to your body’s needs, whether you’re recovering from injury, enhancing athletic performance, or simply looking to move with greater ease.

How GYROTONIC® Differs from Other Exercise Methods

Unlike traditional resistance training, which works in straight lines, GYROTONIC® follows the body’s natural, circular patterns of motion. This approach allows you to stretch and strengthen at the same time, supporting healthy joints, balanced muscle development, and more efficient movement.

At Body-N-Balance, GYROTONIC® sessions are led by certified GYROTONIC® instructors who specialize in guiding safe, intentional movement. This makes the method accessible and beneficial for a wide range of individuals, from dancers and athletes to those recovering from injury or managing chronic stiffness.

  • Enhanced joint mobility and range of motion

  • Improved posture and spinal alignment

  • Stronger core and stabilizer muscles

  • Reduced stiffness and chronic pain

  • Increased coordination and balance

  • Greater body awareness and fluidity

Benefits of GYROTONIC® Training

Traditional resistance training works mostly in straight lines. GYROTONIC® follows the body’s natural, circular pathways, allowing you to stretch and strengthen at the same time. This style of training supports healthy joints, balanced muscle tone, and smoother, more efficient movement.

Our certified therapists integrate GYROTONIC® into both wellness and rehabilitation programs, making it a great option for beginners, athletes, and anyone managing pain or stiffness.

Who Can Benefit

GYROTONIC® helps retrain your body to move efficiently, creating strength without compression and flexibility without strain.

Why Train at Body-N-Balance?

Body-N-Balance was one of the first studios to bring the GYROTONIC Expansion System® to the Southeast. Founder Sandi Ecclestone helped introduce the method to Atlanta, and our team continues that tradition with highly personalized, one-on-one sessions.

You’ll work with an experienced instructor in a fully equipped Johns Creek studio, giving you focused guidance, safe progressions, and a supportive environment to explore what your body can do.
